1:1 Intensive Coaching

About

My goal is to walk alongside you while unpacking wounding, recognizing patterns that help or hinder your roles, routines, daily “occupations. These openings are for the individuals who want to show up to life in gratitude, peace, joy and service.

After managing an occupational therapy practice in Chicago, changing careers from logistics, hitting the ground running as a practitioner, and founding Thriving Littles in 2017, I started to guide parents and kids in small shifts that nurture and support the family system as a whole, ease stress and cultivate relationships for life - and have expanded to support adults no matter the life stage.

I specialize in relational healing through daily interaction, activities, and environments, merging a multitude of personal and professional experiences.

how it works

Having relational space to process what you’re moving through can truly transform life.

Shifting what is inside of us can shift what is out in powerful ways - rippling outward to the humans around us.

I believe relationships are where we integrate and create sustainable change in service of all.

The purpose of 1:1 time is not to regurgitate information you’ve already found on Instagram or in programs.

It’s to walk alongside you, shining light on your path -
to glimpse blind spots,
to sit with you as you access intuition,
and to meet the wounds that arise to be healed -
trusting the discomfort and witnessing what it moves.

1:1 coaching trusts you to discover agency and sovereignty.
It is a co-created space—imperfectly showing up, practicing radical honesty along the way—

a deep dive into your path, patterns, and desires, your strengths, gifts, and growth edges to make life the fullest, most connected and meaningful it can be.

A BIT OF WHAT PAST CLIENTS HAVE SAID.

“I peeled layers I didn’t know I had the past six months. I had huge blind spots and blamed my kids. I have tears in my eyes thinking of the gratitude for the time with you and having you in my court.”

“For me, the greatest shifts that I have noticed from coaching are realizing the importance of filling my cup and the importance of boundaries to be able to take care of myself. I have also learned to notice when I am being triggered and slow down the moment if possible and just notice what is happening in my body. This is a huge shift for me. Prior to coaching, if I was triggered, everything would happen so quickly without a moment to slow down and try to notice or choose what happens next. Just the fact that I realize I am triggered and start to notice the sensations is amazing and healing. This is a beautiful practice.”

“I so craved to work with Thriving Littles for the longest time. As I just felt like it was so aligned with what I was hoping to heal in our family and myself. My own thoughts of maybe my childhood trauma being too much that might arise in a session or I wasn’t healed enough, and the big one, I have a degree working with children, I should really have this figured out, all came up. These thoughts all kept me from actually setting up the sessions for the longest time. I am glad I was able to release these feelings long enough to set something up because what came after was so restorative for me as a parent.

All my worries, shame, and fear were held with such care. All my spouse’s and I’s struggles as parents were meant with such gentleness. And from there, we were able to go deeper into those feelings and get new perspectives on some old thoughts my husband and I were holding on to and shine a light on some things we hadn’t considered while we were feeling so stuck on what we considered to be a “problem”. We were given tools we could use to help guide our own healing and connection with our daughter. It was great to have the private sessions to refocus us on what was important to us as a family.

I was also lucky enough to be a part of the Integrate group as well. I normally don’t gravitate towards group classes just because my own shame can get in the way, of not wanting to be the talker of the bunch or feeling like I am the only one struggling, or worrying about feeling misunderstood. It was wonderful being connected to others and feeling seen and heard. Being in the community was a cool connection, I loved having real conversations together while working through some areas that felt like struggles and airing out the shame that we as parents hold on to. The group experience opened up my eyes to the fact that everyone has their own struggles, even though our own struggles can feel so distant from others, we all have certain thoughts, triggers, and fears we are carrying, but all these feelings are more alike than we think.”

“I expected to get “interaction tips” and ended up changing my perspective and life. I didn’t always like you during the process, and questioned a lot. In the end, I am honored you cared enough to walk me through this until I came to realize my own unhelpful patterns.”

-RT

“Katie has helped me to connect to myself and for that I am eternally grateful. She has an understanding of kids and behavior that gives me “ah -ha” moments each session. It is hard to put this process into words. I understand my kids and myself in ways I never expected. I am now thinking about the reason for all behavior that comes up and I am shifting a long line of yellers in my lineage.”

-LM

“Learning that our kids' behavior was their communication changed the game for us. We are now able to tune in to their need(s) that can be confusing when they are buried beneath their behavior (which was/still sometimes is very triggering), use many of our skills and tools from the course, and ultimately connect with them.

Learning how to repair and also how to come alongside our little people has changed the way we parent our children completely.”
